So we had the best intentions of hiking today. We even went to Cabela's and both got a killer pair of hiking boots. Waterproof and proven to keep your little toes warm down to freezing temps. We called the ranger station before we actually drove the 3 hours there. Oh and of course, there was snow he said, but it wasn't very bad...but why would you want to hike in the middle of winter when there was snow on the ground he asked? Well, because we are from Ohio and obviously not familiar with the ways of hiking and the proper time to go apparently... because his idea of not a lot of snow was multiple feet of snow. Not a few inches but a few feet. So much that we couldn't even drive into the ranger station when we got there. Guess hiking today was a bad idea. Thats ok, I would rather photograph the breathtaking landscape. The rest of my pics from this trip are on my Facebook page if you want to check them out.
