Welcome to Washington

So my official move date is proposed to be February 1, 2009. So basically I have one month to get it ALL together, pack, finish any loose ends with the house and take our official cross-country drive. Luckily, I spent a week here for Thanksgiving and the Christmas holiday as well. So I am getting used to the strange weather conditions. Yesterday we drove up to Darrington which is on the edge of Mt. Baker National Forest. And...And... I saw the sun for the first time in almost 10 days. It was so bright it stung my eyes. But don't worry it only lasted for about 30 mins and then disappeared behind the fog and rain clouds. And today I am just staring out the window at the gray sky listening to the rumbles of thunder. But all that being said, I have never witnessed such a "green" place. Stay posted for some pics of our drive up to Darrington and the Christmas snow from last week.
