Something that resembles an apartment

I finally fixed the i1Internet this morning and can post again. However, I am on Andy's PC (it is so painful).... anywho!
We made it by about 7 pm on Friday night. Saturday it took us all morning and afternoon to unpack. And since I couldn't help lift the grill off the truck. (it took a minor spill on the ground). But Chris came to the rescue, THANKS! Sunday was dedicated to going through rows and rows of boxes stacked to the ceiling. We only took out the necessities. But I did sneek out some of my photos to put on the wall and some lamps to add some light. But eventually, we had the boxes in the appropriate places so they could be unpacked.
Monday I spent all day organizing the living room so there would be a place that we could sit, watch TV and eat. Andy didn't think he came into the right apartment. Sometimes things just need a feminine touch!
Tuesday I spent the day organizing the bedroom. And somehow, made it all (well, almost all) fit into the closet.
Today I plan on spending the day getting my desk and computer set up. So, I guess you could say we are somewhat settled. For now anyways.
Miss you all.

Buster can tell we are close.

He thinks we are just on an extended trip to grandma and grandpas
house. This is the longest trip ever to go play with Gus and Bella.
He has been so patient. He enjoys sitting on my lap so He can see
everything. We are on I 90. Our last major highway

Here we come.

Welcome to washington. We are so close. And I am so sick of being in
the car. I can't stand it anymore. The life of a trucker is NOT for me.

Last day... hopefully!

Because of drill sgt andy, we were up by 5:30 on the road before 7. At
least we will be able to watch the sun rise. Speaking of, have a ton
of beautiful pics from the road. I will post them once I get settled.
So we have the rest of Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Even if it takes
us 12 hours we will me in at 6 pm due to the time change. There are a
little over 600 miles left. Seems like nothing.

The sunset.

Looks so much better in person.

Welcome to Idaho. Want a potato?

As you can tell by my miserable attempt to take a pic with my iphone
as the truck is going 75. A bit of a delay with my trigger finger. We
are in idaho. The sun is beginning to set over the mountains and it is
just beautiful. I can see now why people would give up civilization to
live here. It is about 5:30 here and I see no signs of stopping soon.
Boise is about 200 miles away.

Utah

Desolate and peaceful

There is not much to Wyoming except hills, plateau, rocks and clay.
The scenery is quite tranquil. Just passing Evanston, WA into Utah. A
different lifestyle, I am sure. Miles and miles in between exits and
there are only dirt roads. But this is my favorite state this far.

We have a new driver!

We got tired of driving and decided to give the B-man a try. It was
going ok until he fell asleep.

Cheyenne, Wyoming

It took us the while day to cross Nebraska. Corn field after corn
field. Not to mention cow after cow feeding in the cornfields. After
13hours we have decided to call it a night. But not before we go
Outback tonight.

The Original Pony Express 2

The Original Pony Express

Our first touristy site! Only a 5 min detour. Happened to be at an
exit where we needed gas. Not too exciting. But fun none the less.

Taking on Nebraska

On the road again

This is the first time that Walker and Buster have ever cuddled. They
must be stressed.

We got up bright and early and were on the road by 7am. After sipping
some horrid hotel coffee I was in desperate need of my usual. Sadly we
are in the middle of Iowa... Really do you think there is a SB? We
pulled off to fill up at BP and there was no coffee. What? So Andy
graciously offfered to stop at the next exit gas station. "Kum & Go"
was my only option. Thanks but no thanks, I'll pass. But I see IT
there in the distance. No Andy not left, take a right. Three lanes off
traffic to cross with a truck and a tow? No biggie. Anything for my
SKVL. And now I am content as I watch the sun rise over the rolling
hills of Iowa.

Still at it

It is 9 o'clock central time. We are still at it. Andy plans on
getting to Des Moines before we stop for the night. (150+ miles from
our current location). So that would put us in around 11:30. We
decided to be nice and take walker out of my car. When we took the
water bottles put of the back seat and they were frozen... We couldn't
be so inhumane. So we actually let her in the cab with us to see how
it would go. Not too bad so far. She is just sitting on my lap. A big
surprise from what we thought she would do. Not crying. No freak out.
Probably just happy to be out of the cold.

We made it to Illinois!

Buster's sleeping quarters

A little tight in here...

The Road Has Improved

Day Two but really Day One

Well, we almost made it to Indy before we turned around. Everything
went so wrong yesterday that we drove back to Cincy and tried again
this morning. Long story. But needless to say we have already passed
the point we turned around yesterday, good sign. The weather isn't the
greatest but it is doable. We are going at a nice 45 mph. Andy finally
passed the semi he has been following for the past 100 miles. We are
on our way!!!!!!!

Finally on our way.
